1. Location, Location, Location

Early risers often prefer East facing views so they get sunrises. Night owls often prefer West facing views for sunsets. What matters to you depends greatly on your personality, style, and hobbies. Choose a floor plan that works with your lifestyle.
4. Tour Apartments, But Don’t Fall In Love — Yet

It can be hard to walk into a stunning apartment and not fall in love right away, so it’s important that you put your logical hat on and avoid being swooned. Remember that the apartment manager wants to get you into their apartment, and they’ll be working hard to sell you. Bring a pad of paper and a pen to your tours and write down what you love and don’t love while you’re going through the space — don’t wait until later to write them down, because you may not remember.
