Mattapoisett’s village center meets Buzzards Bay at the harbor, where Main Street and Water Street pass local shops, restaurants, the Town Hall, Shipyard Park, and the town wharf. Route 6 runs farther inland and carries much of the town’s commercial activity, with grocery options, restaurants, services, and other businesses along the corridor. North Street connects Route 6 with I-195, providing direct access to the regional highway network. Ned’s Point and its lighthouse are among Mattapoisett’s best-known waterfront landmarks, while Shipyard Park remains an important public space beside the harbor.
