Emerson College
Located in Boston’s Theater District at 120 Boylston Street, Emerson is a gem among liberal arts colleges. Its founder, Charles Wesley Emerson, started this school to train future orators. Emerson University Housing
Once new students and transfer students have been accepted and paid a deposit, they can begin the campus housing application process. First year students are able to request a specific roommate or roommates. Transfer students can request student housing in a dorm designated for upperclassmen, but placement depends on available space. Returning students have to complete the housing selection process each academic-year.
Emerson has five residence halls that are perfectly suited to comfortable residence life. Each residence hall has a common area, a laundry facility, wireless internet, IPTV, kitchen space with stovetops and microwaves, and a vending machine. Students have the choice to choose meal plan A, B, or C.
2 Boylston Place
This residence hall has eighteen stories and houses up to 375 students. You can get a single room, a double room, or a triple room. There are some triple rooms that include private bathrooms. Students share some living space. There are three lounges, a community kitchen, and laundry facilities.
Piano Row
Piano Row is fourteen stories and can house up to 558 students. It is located at 150 Boylston Street. The rooms are double occupancy within four and six-person suites. The people in these suits share a bathroom, a kitchenette with only a sink, and a common living area. There is a centralized laundry facility.
Paramount Center Residence Hall
The Paramount Center Residence Hall on 555 Washington Street has double rooms in four or six-person arrangements. This building has shared lounges with kitchenettes and a shared laundry facility. The residence hall is also home to the renovated Paramount Theater, classrooms, a black box theater, and practice rooms.
The Colonial Building
This building is located at 100 Boylston Street and the upper floors house 354 students. Students can get a single-room or a double. The four, five, or six-person suite-like arrangements have a shared bathroom. Lounges, kitchens, and laundry facilities are the same as the other residences.
Little Building
Located at 80 Boylston Street, this building has thirteen stories. It contains 1,035 beds and is different than the other Emerson residences; it resembles a typical college dormitory. This building houses all first year students. There are community restrooms on each floor and there is also one private gender-free restroom on each floor. There are a few suites available that have a shared bathroom. Shared space consists of sixteen lounges – six of which have kitchenettes – and three laundry facilities.
