The Neal Rantoul Vault Theatre
This cozy, 150-seat theater allows local performers to showcase their talents. The building was a bank but is now the LynnArts building. A Lynn favorite is Stand Up Stick Up, a comedy show that features comics from all over the country.
Mary Baker Eddy House
Tour this lovely home which is a National Historic Landmark. The seven years she lived here were highly productive. It was from this house that she wrote the groundwork for the Christian Science movement, chartered a college, and founded her church.
Green Space and Water Views
The Lynn Woods Reservation
This amazing 2,200-acre park is the second largest municipal park in the United States. There are over 30 miles of nature trails and three active reservoirs that provide gorgeous scenic views. Pirate legends live in the underground tunnel of Dungeon Rock. No treasure has ever been found, but the public is free to look around. Constructed of stone and mortar, Stone Tower is another popular site. Open to the public by appointment, this is a great place to view the waterfront and the Boston skyline.
Red Rock Park
Part of the Essex Coastal Scenic Byway, this is the place in Lynn to absorb the sights, sounds, and smells of the Atlantic Ocean. In addition to the inviting beaches, there is a cement walkway that is perfect for just watching the waves.
Lynn Heritage State Park
This 4.5-acre waterfront park is a testament to Lynn and the people who built this historic town. Peruse the Atlantic from the boardwalk that borders the seawall and view Lynn Harbor and Massachusetts Bay. Take a moment and contemplate the picturesque mural that illustrates the coastline and the history of Lynn.
High Rock Tower Reservation
Comprising seven acres, this Olmsted designed park is located on a hill with remarkable views of the Atlantic Ocean. The 85-foot high High Rock Tower is an example of Romanesque Revival architecture and open to the public at special events.
Lynn Shore Reservation
This protected coastal area includes 22 acres of beaches and recreational spaces. The stunning beaches of King’s Beach, Red Rock Park, and Lynn beach are part of the reservation.
